"Life! I know not what thou art"

LIFE! I know not what thou art,
But know that thou and I must part;
And when, or how, or where we met

I own to me's a secret yet.

Life! we've been long together,
Through pleasant and through cloudy weather;
"Tis hard to part when friends are dear—
Perhaps 'twill cost a sigh, a tear;
—Then steal away, give little warning,
Choose thine own time;
Say not Good-night—but in some brighter clime

Bid me Good-morning

Nature's with its brush in Varanasi

I heard a thousand blended notes
While in a grove I sate reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to the mind.
To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What Man has made of Man.

Khalil Gibran

Love one another, but make not a bond of love;
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls,
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup,
Give one another of your bread but eat not of the same loaf;
Sing and dance togeather and be joyous but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Taare Zammen Par: Naked Truth

I cried, I cried and shed bucketful of tears. Not because, I was in pain or some kind of problem, the tears were due to sheer honesty found in those beautiful pair of eyes... the eyes that belong to the 9 year old Darsheel. Yes, Taare zameen Par had that kind of cleansing, nostalgic effect on me. Kudos to Aamir for making such a heart-rending tale with brutal honesty. Who could have thought of making his directorial debut with a film on kids? But Aamir had the guts to do it and do it brilliantly. The film really gives us some food for thought, some serious questions that every parent, every teacher should pause and think about. After all, the future lies in their hand. The movie took me down memory lane and reminded me of my own childhood when I used to be a shy, introvert eldest child of the house. From whom, everybody expected to behave properly and do all the proper things in life. But...
It's not just about the growing up children but it's also about keeping the child in you alive, to develop that child like curiosity which is necessary to become innovative and creative. Out of the box thinking and not just conditioned thinking.... from where thinking has long been gone just conditioning is left. The way our parents conditioned us, the way our teachers conditioned us and later on the way our companies and our Bosses condition us.
Where has that child gone who used to spend endless time thinking, playing, doing things just for sheer fun and not finding meaning in everything....
Where are we leading? Is this the life that we strived for in our childhood? Are we becoming clones of each other with no difference in the way we behave and the way we talk? Exactly, where will this rat race stop because all I can see is a dead end..
No society can exist without emotions and feelings. But seriously, we are becoming a emotionless, money driven society. The pressure is mounting each day….even each hour, each minute, each second…..
Are we giving our kids enough time to grow up?
Answers are required urgently...
